So far the www.InventorEd.org web site has been totally funded by Ronald J.
Riley at a cost of approximately $350,000. It has
been very successful, drawing hundreds of thousands of
visitors, many of whom directly communicate with us for
additional help. In fact, it is so successful that
on weekdays we receive 100-300 e-mails and 6-12 calls per
day.
We started early in 1999
to explore the possibility of nonprofit status as a 501
(c) 3 corporation. And while that effort was put on
hold by a heavy travel schedule early this year, we
completed the process by the end of 1999. We
received IRS approval on December 28th of 1999.
Now we are looking for
constructive criticism and advice, and funding from
foundations or individuals.
We are also looking for
people who are interesting in contributing additional
children's stories such as those which are now posted in
the children's section at: www.InventorEd.org/k-12/.
We are looking for people
who are willing to answer correspondence from aspiring
inventors and also students. If you are interested
in helping aspiring inventors writes us at: Mentors@InventorEd.org.
Inventored is currently
conducting a fund raising drive to raise $500,000. Half
of which is earmarked for a contingency litigation fund
to defend inventors who are the victims of SLAPP suits being brought by invention
promoters who wish to stop
important public policy discussions about the invention
promotion business. Such litigation has become the
preferred tool of invention promoters, primarily
Invention Submission Corporation (ISC). ISC & their
attorneys have sued several people in both the UK and the
US, and threatened to sue many other people, including InventorEd Director Ronald J. Riley. A suit which ISC brought against the National
Inventor Fraud Center (NIFC) was countered with a RICO suit (Read About It Here).
InventorEd is looking for
advisors with a broad range of expertise in education,
journalism, marketing, intellectual property, ethics,
public policy, law, and no doubt other areas which we
have failed to recognize.
We are looking forward to
hearing from you.
