The Mind

I like to compare our minds to a network of computers which run different languages and operating systems.   The computers are based on different hardware and software which has been kludged over time for different tasks than they were originally designed for.  These computers  communicate poorly with each other.

Einstein makes a funny face

For the average person, a happy balance is struck between the parts of the brain.  But for some people one or more sub systems may work better, but often at the expense of another sub system.  The end result of such dysfunction are musicians, artists, scientists, engineers, and inventors and conversely - invention promoters - sales agents, and worse.  People who are incapable of understanding ethics.

The human brain is truly fastening, complex and imperfect.  What is ironic is that imperfection is the source of humanities greatest strengths and also the greatest weakness.
