You mentioned “damage to Invent Tech’s goodwill” in your letter to the previous domain owners.  Rest assured that InventorEd.org has extensive documentation on file concerning the lack of goodwill which Invent Tech has cultivated.   As you are aware, the use of a trademark to criticize a commercial entity’s business practices is a protected First Amendment use.  I trust that our use of said domains will not confuse any of Invent Tech’s potential or actual victims. 

We have been referring Invent Tech victims to the Miami Dade Police Department, Economic Crimes Bureau at (305) 994-1000.  It is our understanding that Invent Tech is well aware that their conduct has drawn the attention of law enforcement.  In light of this Invent Tech’s efforts should be invested making restitution to the inventors whom they have failed to supply value for the payments made.

I suggest it would behoove both you and your client to carefully STUDY www.InventorEd.org/caution/.  Doing so will give you insight into how we handle unwelcome advances by invention promoters.  This could save both you and Invent Tech considerable aggravation and money.

Patent practioners who work in conjunction with questionable invention promotion firms have been known to receive quality time from the Office of Enrollment and Discipline.     Be advised that InventorEd will pass information on to the appropriate agencies regarding your association with Invent Tech.
