Agent Andy is interesting because his MO plays on a common fear of inventors which historically has been baseless.  Most invention promoters, the disreputable ones, are simply after the clients money, and they really have no interest in the inventions long term prospects.

But this invention promoter glad hands the inventor and convinces them to disclose their invention.  Then he comes back to the inventor (there are enough reports to show a clear pattern) and tells them he has an improvement which he will disclose to the inventor for an upfront fee (many thousands of $) and being made a co-inventor.

If a patent attorney were to do this they would be disbarred!

Agent Andy is a smooth talker. In fact he is just as smooth as some other invention promoters who are listed on this site.

An example follows, I have reports of virtually the same approach being used with a number of people.
